Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to work from home online marking, grading, assessing and providing detailed feedback to students’ TOEFL written and oral work.

Ideal candidates

1. Experience as TOEFL examiner preferred, or deep familiarity with TOEFL marking rubric

2. Bachelor Degree or above preferred

Details of Position

New Channel was founded in 2004 by Hu Min, a professor of applied linguistics, as a provider of dynamic and transformative English language instruction to prepare students for study abroad. It quickly became China’s leading provider of IELTS exam training and instruction, as well as consistently training students to achieve excellent results in other globally recognized English language and matriculation exams such as TOEFL, SAT and A-Levels. We now have some 300 training centers in over 40 cities across China.

The job does not entail live, real-time online interaction with students, so successful candidates can work flexibly from home according to their own schedule.

Experienced candidates will also have the option to help train and create training programs for future assessors, which could even lead to a full-time position working from home.

Salary and Benefits

Rates are negotiable depending on level of experience. But the approximate remuneration is as follows:

GBP 10 (USD 13.69) for marking and feedback of each student’s response to complete TOEFL Speaking Exam

GBP 6 (USD 8.21) marking and feedback of each student’s response to TOEFL Integrated Writing Exam or TOEFL Independent Writing exam
